Tiny Grid Lab
Status: Live.
Your muse
A mini spreadsheet: 10 columns by 30 rows, formulas with =SUM, =AVERAGE, =MIN, =MAX and cell references like =A1*B2 that recalculate live, circular references shown as an error in the cell, CSV import and export, a bar chart of any selected range, and a Spark button that explains the selected formula in plain words.

The plan: Tiny Grid Lab
A 10 by 30 live spreadsheet with charts and plain word formula help.
- Type values and formulas into the 10 by 30 grid
- See SUM, AVERAGE, MIN, MAX and cell refs recalculate live with circular refs flagged

Who it's for
Students and makers who need a small spreadsheet that recalculates live.
How it works
- Type values and formulas into the 10 by 30 grid
- See SUM, AVERAGE, MIN, MAX and cell refs recalculate live with circular refs flagged
- Select any range to preview it as a bar chart
- Select a formula cell and press Explain to read it in plain words
- Import or export the sheet as CSV
Screens
- Grid Sheet. Edit cells, enter formulas, and see live results and errors.
- Chart and Explain. View the bar chart for the selected range and read the plain words formula help.
What goes in
- Text: Cell values and formulas typed into the grid, like 42 or =SUM(A1:A5).
- Text (optional): CSV text for import, up to 10 columns by 30 rows.
What comes out
- Text: Live calculated grid with values and error flags for circular refs.
- Text: Plain words explanation of the selected formula.
- Image: Bar chart image of the selected numeric range.
- File: Exported CSV file of the current sheet.
Models
Model Used for Why Muse Spark 1.3 Explain the selected formula in plain words Reads the formula text plus nearby cell values and returns a short plain explanation. Limits
- Grid is fixed to 10 columns by 30 rows with only SUM, AVERAGE, MIN, MAX plus basic arithmetic and cell refs.
- Circular references show as an error in the cell and do not resolve.
- Bar chart only plots numbers from the selected range and skips text and errors.
- CSV keeps values and formulas as text and does not keep the chart image.
- All data stays in the browser with no accounts or outside services.
From your inspo
The person gave a text only note asking for a mini 10 by 30 spreadsheet with live formulas, CSV import and export, a range bar chart, and plain words formula help.
Takes
- Live recalc for SUM, AVERAGE, MIN, MAX and cell math like A1 times B2
- Circular references shown as cell errors
- CSV import and export round trip
- Bar chart from any selected range
- Button that explains the selected formula in plain words
Cost per run: about $0.002 (est.). About 300 input tokens at $1.25 per million ($0.0004) plus about 300 output tokens at $4.25 per million ($0.0013) for a total of about $0.002 per explanation.
