How it works

What goes in
- Image (optional): JPG or PNG photo under 4.5 MB, larger files go to temp storage first.
- Video (optional): Short MP4 or MOV clip in H.264, H.265 or MPEG-4, up to 15000 frames.
- Text: One short noun phrase like car or bird. No lists, questions or negation.
What comes out
- Overlay: Photo or video frames with boxes and outlines plus count labels.
- JSON: Total count plus boxes, masks and confidence per object.
Models
Model Used for Why SAM 3.1 Detect and outline object instances Finds and outlines up to 16 objects from a short phrase and returns boxes and masks for counting. Limits
- Rebuild fit: clean. Rebuilt from title and description without watching the original footage, so layout and examples are new but the same count and outline job runs on current sam-3.1.
- Accepts one short noun phrase per run and finds at most 16 objects.
- Counts are estimates. Hidden or overlapping objects can be missed.
- Video must be MP4 or MOV and larger uploads are deleted after 24 hours.
- Built with Muse Muse and is not an official Meta product.
